Marcus Garcia, who recently completed his sophomore year at Denton Ryan High in Texas and is representing The Throwing Factory, won the boys 15-16 division title in the discus throw with a fifth-round performance of 171-2 (52.19m) at the USATF National Junior Olympic Championships at Hayward Field in Eugene, Ore. Garcia also finished ninth in the 15-16 shot put final with a mark of 48-4.75 (14.75m).
